Jakarta (Antara Babel) - Newly installed President Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, received Chinese National People's Congress Deputy Chairman Yan Junqi at Merdeka Palace here Tuesday afternoon.
Jungi is the third foreign representatives Jokowi received on Tuesday after receiving Papua New Guinean Prime Minister Peter O'Neill and Russian Trade and Industry Minister Denis Valentinovich Manturov in the morning.
Besides acting as the deputy chairman of Chinese National People's Congress, Jungi also holds the chairmanship position in China's Association for Promoting Democracy.
Jokowi was inaugurated on Monday as the 7th president of Indonesia.
Present at Jokowi's inauguration ceremony were numerous foreign heads of state and 13 special envoys.
Foreign dignitaries attending the ceremony were O'Neill and Manturov, US Secretary of State John Kerry, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, Timor Leste President Taur Mata Huak, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
After the inauguration ceremony, President Jokowi received Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and US Secretary of State John Kerry.
