Bogor, W Java (Antara Babel) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) here on Friday paid a working visit to Sukabumi, West Java, to inspect the progress of infrastructure construction, including several dams and a double tract railway.
The presidential entourage departed Bogor Palace for Sukabumi at 8 a.m. local time and arrived in Benda Village, Cicurug sub-district, at 8:50 a.m., for the inauguration of the Cigombong-Cicurug segment of the double tract railway, which will connect Sukabumi and Bogor.
Jokowi's entourage members included Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, Chief of the Presidential Staff Teten Masduki, and Governor of West Java Ahmad Heryawan.
The double tract railway construction is expected to be completed within three years, and the government has allocated Rp300 billion for the first-stage budget.
