Jakarta (Antara Babel) - Member of the Prabowo-Hatta's team of lawyers Habiburokhman said that the team would transport election fraud documents in 15 steel vehicles to the Constitutional Court (MK).

"The documents will be delivered in 15 steel vehicles, which are usually used to deliver money," Habiburokhman said at the MK Building here on Friday.

He stated that the evidence that will be handed over to the MK included 52 thousand documents or form C1 documents (minute documents about the votes at the polling stations) and video recordings, which had been approved by the team and the people.

"In principle, the evidence has been prepared and is now on its way to the MK. I have deliberately arrived ahead of the steel vehicles to monitor the procedures on the handing over of the documents to the MK. It has to be transferred at the MK Hall, and of course, those who attend will be most important persons," Habiburokhman noted.

He said that Prabowo and Hatta together with other top officials of the political parties in the coalition were also expected to arrive at 6.30 pm.

As reported earlier, the Red-and-White Coalition's legal team member Mahendradatta has notified that the Prabowo-Hatta pair will file a lawsuit with the MK on Friday.

The legal step is possible because it was regulated that the General Elections Commission (KPU), after making the recapitulation announcement, will give a chance to presidential electoral contestants to file a lawsuit with the MK within a period of 3 x 24 hours.

The KPU had on Tuesday announced the result of July 9 presidential elections, naming the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla pair as the winner defeating the Prabowo-Hatta duo.

However, the Prabowo-Hatta duo had rejected the KPU announcement citing massive and widespread election fraud.

According to constitutional observer Margarito, the legitimacy of Joko Widodo as president-elect still has to await the MK's decision because his competitor Prabowo Subianto had filed a lawsuit with the MK.

"Although the KPU had announced that the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla pair had won the election, yet the presidential and vice presidential candidates could only be considered legitimate if the MK has taken a decision on the electoral dispute and declare Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla duo as the winner," Constitutional observer Margarito said here on Friday.

According to Margarito, if the MK decides otherwise, or it rules the electoral dispute in favor of the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa duo, its decision will be legitimate.

"So, in my view, the KPU's decision is legitimate but not yet final because the Prabowo-Hatta team has filed a lawsuit with the MK and will provide evidence on election fraud. So, we have to wait for the MK's decision," he added.
