Jakarta (ANTARA Babel) - National Development Planning Minister and head of the National Development Planning Board Armida S Alisjahbana said the target for the country`s economic growth is set at 6.4 percent - 6.9 percent.
Armida made the statement after a cabinet meeting here on Thursday held with the main agenda to hear reports about the government working plan and targets for 2014.
The world`s economy is still beset by uncertainty in 2014, and continue to be in the shadow of recession that it would be difficult to meet export target set earlier, Armida told reporters.
The economic growth target set in the government working plan was lower than economic growth target at 6.5 - 7 percent earlier announced by Chief Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa.
Armida said exports are feared to continue to be in the doldrums, therefore, "we have to be more realistic."
She said the target for inflation is set at 4.5 percent more or less.(*)
