Jakarta (Antara Babel) - Presidential staff for communication affairs Johan Budi has confirmed here Monday evening that Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Archandra Tahar was discharged from his position amid circulating rumors in Indonesian public that claim that he holds dual citizenship.
"He is honorably discharged and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is appointed to replace Archandra's position for the time being," Johan Budi told journalists.
According to media reports in Indonesia that Archandra has become a naturalized US citizen since 2012. But, at the same time, he remains the holder of Indonesian passport.
