Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Ulemas Council (MUI) has received another ISO 9001:2015 certificate from Worldwide Quality Assurance (WQA) UK Limited attesting that the organization is managed professionally, transparently, and accountably.
The MUI received the quality management certificate based on the standards set by the International Organization Standardization (ISO) in 2018, according to a statement released by the MUI on Tuesday. Since then, WQA has audited it every year, it added.
We are also very proud of the trust given to WQA as an ISO certification institute for MUI. It is an honor for us to serve MUI, chief executive officer of WQA UK Limited, Daniel Raymond, said, according to the MUI press statement.
Raymond said WQA has audited and observed the application of ISO standards within MUI, including commissions, bodies, and institutions under the purview of the MUI executive board.
According to the results of the external audit, MUI qualified for the ISO 9001:2015 certificate, he added.
Meanwhile, MUI general treasurer Misbahul Ulum said that every year, the public accountants office (KAP) audits MUIs financial statement and the State Audit Board (BPK) audits the use of the governments assistance for the council.
On the financial side, MUI also applies the principles of professionalism and accountability by being audited by KAP and BPK periodically, he informed.
Meanwhile, MUI secretary general Amirsyah Tambunan outlined MUIs vision of creating good life at the level of the country, nation, and state.
MUIs mission is encouraging peoples leadership and institutions, carrying out Islamic propagation, and building friendship among Muslims, he added.
