Bangka Belitung (ANTARA) - Presidential Special Staff Billy Mambrasar encouraged the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government to implement five digitization programs without further ado in order to accelerate development in the province.
"We want the provincial government, the district governments, and city governments in Bangka Belitung Islands to support President Joko Widodo's program of bureaucratic digitization and innovation in accelerating development," Mambrasar remarked in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands, on Tuesday.
During the working visit to the province on September 12-15, Mambrasar's team along with the Bring Change Team, or Tim Bawa Perubahan (Baper), disseminated information regarding the five action plan programs to accelerate development through digitization.
The five development programs are the Digital-Based Non-Formal Learning Center; the Millennial Farmers and Millennial Fishers; the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center; the National Talent Management; and the Application Development & Local Champions.
"Bangka Belitung Islands is the 26th province that will carry out the action plan programs to accelerate development, where the Baper team (members), as facilitators, will assist the heads of regional apparatus related to the digitization program," Mambrasar elaborated.
Meanwhile, Acting Governor of Bangka Belitung Islands Ridwan Djamaluddin supported the digitalization program to bolster the local economy.
"This program will certainly produce great innovations and target young people in the province as a driving force for change," he remarked.
He also urged regional apparatus heads to help Mambrasar and his team if they required information regarding the province's conditions that would be proposed in the program.
"I want a change in the community activities towards new socioeconomic activities. I also hope that we have an implementation plan, such as what and how to do it," Djamaluddin stated.
The acting governor had earlier stated that digitalization efforts in the province are being enhanced, especially in the public service sector, in terms of economic development.
