Jakarta (Antara Babel) - The corruption Eradication Commission (KPk) has summoned the secretary general of the forestry ministry, Hadi Daryanto, for questioning in a bid to get to the root of alleged corruption in the ministry.
Hadi is questioned as a witness in the graft case with Bogor regent Rachmat Yasin as a suspect, head of the report and information division of KPK Priharsa Nugraha said here on Monday.
Last week, the anti graft agency already grilled Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan in the graft case over exchange of forest areas in the regency of Bogor.
Zulkifli said after his investigation he never approved proposal to exchange forest area in Bogor to be used for housing complex.
Earlier on June 12 KPK investigated the Planning Director General of the Forestry Ministry Bambang Supijanto, who is directly responsible for licensing the use and conversion of forests.
"There was only proposal for exchange . There has been no license granted," Zulkifli said.
The case surfaced after red handed operation by KPK in May in Bogor in which the agency found Rp1.5 billion allegedly used to bribe Bogor regent Rachmat Yasin.
The money was allegedly the final part of bribe for Yasin, who already allegedly received Rp3 billion to give a recommendation for the use of the 2,754 hectares of forest land.
