Bandung, W Java (Antaranews Babel) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has asked the cadres of the Indonesian Islamic Students Movement (PMII) to develop a complete ethical political culture in the country.
The president made the remarks while attending the 58th anniversary of the PMII here on Tuesday, advising PMII cadres to avoid being pessimistic.
"If someone is pessimistic and tries to scare you, do not follow it. I invite all of you to create a fully ethical political culture in the country," he remarked.
He stated that he does not want any politics to divide this nation as it is not the culture of the country.
"Indonesian political culture is ethical political culture. Full of politeness, courtesy. Do not want to be taken to the political directions that I have said," Jokowi pointed out.
According to him, the Indonesian community should always be optimistic. Based on the prediction of World Bank and Mckenzie survey, and the calculation made the National Development Planning Board (Bappenas), Indonesia will enter the list of top 10 strongest economies of the world by 2030.
"If it goes smoothly like this, (Indonesia) will possibly get into the list of top seven. It is estimated that from this calculation, we will be able to get into the list of top four strongest economies in the world," the president added.
