Jakarta (ANTARA) - President-elect Prabowo Subianto has assured that all the ministerial, deputy ministerial, and agency head candidates he summoned to his Jakarta residence on Monday are capable of carrying out their duties well in the next Cabinet.
He said that he has been monitoring the ministerial candidates for quite some time, holding discussions with them, and expressing his wish to make them ministers, deputy ministers, and agency heads.
"Before I invited them here, they had actually stated their willingness to help me. Actually, today I only confirmed. I confirmed, I assured them whether or not they were willing to help me in the areas that I offered them," he informed.
"Alhamdulillah, all of them have stated their willingness," he added after a series of meetings with the candidates at his private residence.
During the one-on-one meetings with a total of 49 ministerial, deputy ministerial, and agency head candidates, Prabowo emphasized the direction of his government's future policies.
"In general, I am satisfied, and the atmosphere (at every meeting) was very good. Everyone understands that we have to work well, work hard as a team in a world full of uncertainty," he said.
On Tuesday (October 15, 2024), he will summon more ministerial and deputy ministerial candidates as well as agency head candidates for a meeting at his residence.
From 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Prabowo met with several candidates at his private residence in Kertanegara to discuss their Cabinet assignments.
They included professionals, academics, politicians, bureaucrats, religious figures, high-ranking officials of community organizations, active police officials, as well as former soldiers.
Overall, 49 figures were summoned by Prabowo on Monday:
