Jakarta (Antara Babel) - Former commander of the army elite troop (Kopassus) retired Let. Gen. Prabowo Subianto allegedly knows the whereabouts of 13 kidnapped pro democracy activists in May 1998.
Payam Siahaaan, father of Ucok Munandar, one of the activists of anti regime of President Suharto said he never saw his son after the kidnapping around 16 years ago.
Siahaan told a news conference here on Monday some of Ucok's friends, met and saw his son in the same place where they had been held before they were released later.
Members of the Mawar Team of the army special force admitted the kidnapping when they were brought to court after the fall of President Suharto.
Chairman of the Indonesian Federation of Relatives of Disappearing People (IKOHI) Mugiyanto said the relatives of the 13 victims of alleged kidnapping never ceased to seek information about them.
No one believed they were still alive but the relatives want to know at least where the bodies of the victims had been buried or disposed.
The relatives strongly demanded for justice, Mugiyanto said.
Originally there were 23 activists allegedly kidnapped but nine of them were released later.
