Kuta, Bali  (Antara Babel) - Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud left Bali for Japan on Sunday after enjoying an eight-day vacation in one of the worlds most famous tourist resort.

The King was seen off by among others Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno LP Marsudi, Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Saifudin, and Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

The Kings Boeing 747 plane took off at 11:45 a.m. local time.

The Bali airport was closed for 45 minutes during the departure of the King. Five international flights and 13 domestic flights were affected due to the temporary closure.

On the previous day, a Saudi plane carrying 16.6-ton cargo had left Bali for Japan.

The Saudi King was holidaying in Bali from March 4 to 12, after paying a state visit to Jakarta on March 1-3, which is considered to be historical as a Saudi king had lasted visited Indonesia 47 years ago.

The Saudi King and his entourage comprising among others princes and ministers, booked five luxury hotels located on the beaches lining the Indian Ocean.

The hotels included St Regis, Mulia, and Lagoon located in Nusa Dua, Badung District, and Bulgari in Uluwatu, also in Badung District.
