Jakarta, (Antara Babel) - Hatta Rajasa has the capability to become Prabowo Subianto's running mate in the July 9, 2014, presidential election, noted United Development Party (PPP) Chairman Suryadharma Ali.
"Hatta has the capability to become Prabowo's running mate," Suryadharma remarked after attending the national leadership meeting of Indonesian Islamic Propagation Institute (LDII) at Balai Kartini here on Tuesday.
Regarding Hatta's plan to resign from his post as economic minister, Suryadharma stated that he respected the decision taken by the National Mandate Party (PAN) chairman because it is his personal choice.
"Hatta's decision to resign from his position as the economic minister is part of his rights and it should be respected and appreciated," he emphasized.
But, he added that PPP has not been informed by the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) that Hatta Rajasa will be Prabowo's running mate.
"I still have no idea if it has been an official decision, but has Prabowo ever said that the matter of his running mate will be discussed with the members of his coalition partners," he added.
