Muntok, Bangka Belitung (Antaranews Babel) - PT Timah Tbk said its exports of tin metal totaled 33,250 metric tons in 2018 or 15 percent higher than 28,732 mt in 2017.

Chief Executive of the state-owned company Mochtar Riza Pahlevi Tabrani attributed the increase in exports to improved performance this year.

Mochtar said he is optimistic in facing the year 2019.

Meanwhile corporate secretary of PT Timah Amin Haris Sugiarto said the publicly listed company would continue to boost production of tin metal.

The company has procured more tin ore processing equipment to increase the Sn grade of the ore before being melted into metal," Amin said.
